Art of Reseeeeaaaarch

Here are two of the projects I did in my Art of Research class this term at Art Center. I haven't been active since finals have been drawing closer (week 13 drawing to a close now!) and I finished this class just last night I thought I'd upload some of the less eyesorey-type work I've done.

I don't really know, but this first try at interior painting is damn hard. Took me nearly three hours. And I just barely realized I didn't even finish. I'm missing two of the ceiling lamps. :[

I forgot the stylus for my tablet so I trackpadded the whole thing in Alchemy. It'd be interesting for me to try and turn it into an actual painting... maybe tonight...

Did an hour study of one of Nathan Fowkes' newest pieces; a waterfall in Costa Rica. It's hard to get to that same amount of detail and impression as he did, but I did my best to capture the atmosphere and color.

Having a light term at the moment. I'm also retaking Study Models. Sitting in that class again here now, and I'm trying to work on stuff for my scholarship portfolio... But I'm already getting so sleepy. I turned what I started into this. Cause that's kind of how I feel right now. True story.

Design Process 1 Final - Renderings

This was for my Design Process 1: Development of Space final... Just some quick paintings of a Tron: Legacy themed Taschen bookstore at the Grove's Farmers Market; we had to redesign the bookstore and the clock tower on top of it. It's in the process book post I made earlier today but here are the individual paintings.





I could've sworn I painted this on a slightly brighter scale... It's dark but... meh. :]

1st Term!

Art Center's 2011 Spring term officially starts today! I've been at Art Center for the past four days for orientation, and I'm excited that that's finally out of the way. No class today, and no class Monday, so it means I'll be there for class starting Tuesday. See you all there!


Hard time getting used to digitally painting again after so long. A lot of flaws with this one, but it's good to start getting a general flow of things again.

A quick filler, it'll be revised and remedied soon.
