I was trying to do some spaceship doodles and at the same time my girlfriend wanted me to draw something for her. So I made a painting of a whaleship and our Pillow Pet dolphin Jack for her.
I got inspired by Jon McCoy's spaceship sketches. I decided to try it out in his format. You'll find his blog and the post I drew from here.
Coming up with more interesting designs to draw to proved difficult, whereas I'm getting more comfortable with digital sketching. Drawing spaceships is a lot harder than I remember...
I tried painting day after I was done with summer term but I was hit by artist block. Today I managed to get my juices flowing with another landscape study though.
I gotta tell you it was pretty tough haha. Not only was the original gouache but Tiemens' work is just crazy pro. Worked on it for an hour and a half and I'm still not close to that level...
Erik Tiemen's original piece here below and blog here.
Just finished presenting for my Study Models class this term. All I have to do now is wait for class to be over and I'll be off for a 3 week break from school. Theeen it's back at a full term.
A lot more effort was put into this one so I thought I'd dedicate a post to it rather than just leave it within a small slideshow. I will give a lot of credit to the art of AC2 too haha. Looking at that definitely helped me along a lot.
Here are two of the projects I did in my Art of Research class this term at Art Center. I haven't been active since finals have been drawing closer (week 13 drawing to a close now!) and I finished this class just last night I thought I'd upload some of the less eyesorey-type work I've done.
Many thanks to everyone who helped me with the third project. Everyone gave awesome responses and I wish the presentation was long enough for me to talk about all of the,.
